Let me just start by reviewing the past year and a half for us.
After three years of the long distance relationship we finally tied the knot April 25, 2009. Logan and I then moved to Henderson to be with Gavin in June. We were very busy at first getting the house famliy ready, after three years of a houseful of guys, it really needed a womans touch. Gavin found out very quickly that when I am ready to get something done I want it done then, and I found out that HGTV makes thing look way easier than they actually are!
In August Logan turned the big double digits-10 and we took him to the really cool pool at the Golden Nugget to celebrate, it also began his last year of elementary school. The next month Logan and I were baptized. It was a very special moment for us both. November was a tough one for me, I turned 30! I always planned to be married and have my family complete by the time I was 30, I made the mark barely on the marriage but not the family (so I thought). We spent thanksgiving in Utah with Gavin's family.
December proved to be a very memorable month. The day we had arrived in Oklahoma to spend our Christmas break, my Papa went into the hospital and my Mimi passed away. It was very bittersweet, but it did help build my testimony of the church. The day after Christmas we found out that I was pregnant! We were very surprised and felt very blessed.
We spent New Years with my Dad, Julia, Becky, Matt, and all of the kids. What a year!!
January began and we started our journey to prepare for our new addition to arrive in August. My Papa continued to to go down hill as expected and had past away in February.
My first trimester of my pregnancy was harder this time so I just knew it was a girl. In March we sent Logan off to Washington DC. This was his first trip alone! He was nominated by his teacher to attend a leadership conference there. We also went to Oklahoma for the last time until November. April came quickly and we had our ultrasound that proved me right, we were expecting a baby GIRL!! As we celebrated this news we also celebrated our one year anniversary. It was not always easy but we did it and we can't wait to celebrate many more.
Logan had a great year at school he recieved so many awards. He was very proud of one particular award for his running during school he won first place the 5th grade and third for the school. We are so proud of all of his achievments!
Now it is August and we are preparing for Logan to start middle school and awaiting the arrival of Addyson Lynlee to join our little family.
